Inscription reads:

In memory of John Thorne Yeoman of Lake who died in the Faith of Christ December 10th 1842 aged 80 years. Also of Mary his wife who fell asleep in Jesus January 27th 1845 aged 82 years.

They both obtained pardon through faith in the blood of Jesus and experienced regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

They and their five children were among the first members of the church which first assembled in their house and afterwards in Ebenezer Chapel which was erected principally at their expense.

They were sustained through their extended lives by Divine Grace and their final hour brought Glory to their God.

Glory to God in the Highest, Blest are the dead which die in the Lord.
